How do stretch goals work?
Now that we’ve reached our funding goal, we will be creating a variety of additional rewards and add-ons that the increased funding will allow us to produce. Each stretch goal will have a specific funding level that we must reach in order to “unlock” the stretch goal. Once the stretch goal is unlocked it is available to the backers. What types of stretch goal are there?
Purchase Add-ons: These are optional units that you can add to your existing pledge. If you want to receive a unit that is an Add-on, click the blue “Manage Pledge” button in the top right of your Kickstarter page. Increase the amount of your pledge by the value of the Add-on(s) you wish to receive. At the end of the Kickstarter, we will send out a survey asking you which Add-ons you want your pledge monies to go to. For Example: If you are pledging for Battle Cry ($140) plus want the Destroid Pack ($20) and the Gnerl Fighters ($20) you would increase your pledge to $180 (140+20+20). Bonuses: Bonuses are game pieces added to your pledge level entirely free of charge. These Bonus game pieces that will allow you to marshal larger armies for your games. Every Bonus stretch goal will note which pledge level is receiving them. Battle Cry and Gloval’s Report will receive 1x copy of all unlocked Bonus stretch goals. Showdown will receive 2x copies of all unlocked Bonus stretch goals. At the time of this posting we have already unlocked one Bonus stretch goal, the Veritech Valkyries (1 Veritech - All 3 modes). Plus we are on the cusp of unlocking a second, that will provide 3 more Bonus game pieces. Battle Cry and Gloval’s Report will receive all 6 Bonus game pieces, and Showdown will receive 12. Upgrades: Upgrades are stretch goals that improve the entire product for everyone who has pledged for the upgraded item. Last updated: Fri, Apr 19 2013 9:03 am EDT
Will International Backers have to pay VAT/customs/additional taxes?
No. We have made an arrangement with a local vendor in the UK to ship your pledge rewards from there. This means that as a European Backer you will not be required to pay any additional VAT or import duties on your pledge reward. All that is required is the flat rate shipping fee based on your highest pledge level. We are currently working on an EU shipping solution that will make it so that backers do not have to pay additional fees. Once we have details finalized we will post an update. Why do I have to increase my pledge to receive the new unit Add-ons?
Since new units are products that are not included in the boxed game, their development and production was not included as part of the initial funding goal. Similar to how we needed to fund the development and production of the box game, these new units need to be funded for us to be able to create them at all. In many ways you can think of them as a mini Kickstarter of their own. The success of the Kickstarter is allowing us to expand the product beyond it initial scope. We need to reach the stretch goal in order to fund the new unit’s creation. That is accomplished by backers increasing their pledge to receive these new expansion units. Can I back multiple pledge levels?
Yes! Simply increase the amount of your pledge by the value of any additional pledges you want. At the end of the Kickstarter you can tell us how you would like your funds used. You may back multiples of the same pledge (e.g. two Showdowns). For Example: If you have already purchased Battle Cry ($140) but would also like to get Homecoming ($25) and A New Dawn ($15), simply increase your pledge to $180 (140+25+15). What is BackerKit?
BackerKit is a service that crowdfunded project creators use to keep track of hundreds to tens of thousands of backers—from shipping details, pledge levels, preferences and quantities, whether they have paid or had their card declined, special notes, and everything in between!
The BackerKit software and support team is independent from the campaign’s project team—BackerKit does not handle the actual reward shipping. For more information about the preparation or delivery status of your rewards, please check the project's updates page.
How does BackerKit work?
After the campaign ends, the project creator will send you an email with a unique link to your survey. You can check out a walkthrough of the process here.
I never received my invitation. How do I complete the survey?
The most common reasons for not receiving a survey email is that you may be checking an email inbox different from the email address you used to sign up with Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account, or it may be caught in your spam filter.
Confirm that the email address you are searching matches the email address tied to your Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or Tilt Pro account. If that doesn’t work, then try checking your spam, junk or promotions folders. You can also search for "backerkit” in your inbox.
To resend the survey to yourself, visit the project page and input the email address associated with your Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account.
How do I update my shipping address?
BackerKit allows you to update your shipping address until the shipping addresses are locked by the project creator. To update your address, go back to your BackerKit survey by inputting your email here.
When will my order be shipped, charged or locked?
That is handled directly by the project creator. BackerKit functions independently of the project itself, so we do not have control of their physical shipping timeline. If you want to check on the project’s status, we recommend reading over the project's updates page.
I completed the survey, but haven't received my rewards yet. When will they arrive?
As BackerKit does not actually handle any rewards or shipping, the best way to stay updated on the shipping timeline would be to check out the project's updates page.
